We are thrilled to share our latest completed project on the beautiful island of Tinos, Greece! Designing for the Cyclades is always exciting, but it comes with a major challenge: finding the perfect balance between the stunning Aegean views and the famously strong island winds (Meltemia).
For this premium property, COSPICON provided the ultimate outdoor living solution using two of our flagship systems: CospiBio Slide and Cospisun.
Smart Sun & Wind Protection
The main outdoor lounge area features the CospiBio Slide retractable bioclimatic pergola. It’s the perfect shield against the Tinian wind, designed with a clean, minimal look that hides all mechanical parts and drainage systems. The best part? The louvers don’t just open—they fully slide back, uncovering 80% of the roof so guests can enjoy the clear blue sky.
Natural Light Without the Heat
For the shaded walkways and dining area, we installed the Cospisun polycarbonate roofing system. It is a brilliant, lightweight alternative to heavy glass. It lets the beautiful natural light stream in while filtering out the harsh glare and UV rays, keeping the space cool, comfortable, and completely protected from the elements.
Cycladic Style Meets Engineering
To ensure the structures blended seamlessly with the island’s traditional stone and whitewashed walls, we finished the aluminum profiles in a custom matte, fine-textured coating. The result is a highly durable, weather-resistant outdoor space that feels like a natural extension of the house.
